NICE ONE JESUS

1. He's the cause of Christmas Day - nice one, Jesus.
Slept where animals eat their hay - Jesus, number one.
Shepherds heard the angels' joy - nice one, Jesus.
Peace'll come through this one boy - Jesus, number one.

2. Wise men came from far away - nice one, Jesus.
following a star, they say - Jesus, number one.
gave him gifts of great expense - nice one, Jesus.
gold and myrrh and frankincense - Jesus, number one.

Na-na, na-na, na-na-nah! Na-na, na-na, na-na-nah!

3. What was wrong he made all right
Turned our blindness into sight
Filled the hungry with his bread
And he even raised the dead

4. He said we should worry less
Life is more than we possess
'Look at birds and flowers too
- God will care the same for you'

5. He was led from Nazareth
to the cross and into death
Fixed a broken world that way
lost his life but won the day

6. Naturally God made him rise
Even so we rubbed our eyes
And he's still alive and well
He'll be here for quite a spell.

Na-na ...
Na-na ...

1995. Soon after coming back from the Queensland trip with Jon and Thom, I had a session to do for the Golden Grove Primary. I wanted a song to tell Jesus' story with responses in it. It was originally meant to focus more on the suffering and death, but didn't quite come out that way.

Back from a Break

During September, Dorothy and I travelled
to Norway and the UK.

After long flights
- Adelaide to Melbourne,
Melb to Dubai (14 hrs),
Dubai to Oslo (7 hrs) -
we did Norway in a nutshell
from Oslo to Bergen, then
the Hurtigruten Cruise
up the west coast of Norway
and back again.
Then an 8 day Trafalgar tour
and 4 days in London,
before taking the direct flight
(16 3/4 hrs)
from Heathrow to Perth.
We're a bit tired (!) but we'll still be a part
of the LWA convention and the
General Convention .

See some of you there.
